What is Senior and Specialist Worker Sponsor Licence?

Previously known as the ICT or “Intra-Company Transfer sponsor licence, the Senior or Specialist Worker sponsor licence is required from UKVI for employing senior overseas managers or specialist employees on temporary work assignments in the UK. 

To obtain a Sponsor Licence for a Senior and Specialist Worker within the Global Business Mobility route, the UK business must give evidence to clearly show it is linked by common ownership or control, or through a joint venture agreement, to a qualifying overseas business, for example:

• žan affidavit or a statutory declaration signed by a senior partner or senior executive within the UK entity, identifying all of the connected entities both in the UK and overseas
• žmost recent audited accounts or an audited annual report of the head office or parent company, if this clearly shows the link between the 2 entities 
• žcertified copy of the share register or equivalent of one or other of the entities showing ownership by the entity, or a copy of the share registers of both entities clearly showing the common parent company
