Answers to frequently asked questions about the section 4L route (in which an applicant applies for British citizenship through their grandparents).

by Jamal Mohammed | | Blog

In this video Jamal answers frequently asked questions about the section 4L route (in which an applicant applies for British citizenship through their grandparents). He highlights changes in the law, as recent as 2022 which allows applicants with a grandmother born in the UK to potentially gain citizenship. He explains the impact on gaining citizenship for an applicant's dependents (i.e husband and children under 18 on an ancestral visa). Finally, he addresses concerns on how long the application process is, whether this can be expedited and overall success rate.
